It's about time for a dog post

And keeping in the spirit of civil liberties as well...

Did you know that a dog is considered property for Fourth Amendment purposes?

New t-shirts (real ones)

I've created a Zazzle store. Drop by and grab a t-shirt.

Sobering Google Map

In coordination with a paper about the overuse of SWAT tactics and botched police raids, the Cato Institute has a google map of the US showing the location of these events.

Backlink to me saying this is an epidemic.

No Naked Kansans for Freedom

My favorite quote:

"Topics for discussion included property rights and freedom of assembly."

Link to Kansas.com story. Watch out for the popups. Yeesh!

49abcnews coverage as well, beware there is some big ass ugly video on this page (since I don't install quicktime and the video is unlabeled I don't know what the video is.)

I made this. Yes, I really did

For the record, I created this this answering machine message well over 10 years ago on my Macintosh IIsi, sticking a microphone up to my Betamax recordings of Star Trek:TNG and editing the file in Soundedit.

It now seems to be floating around the net in various places, though someone cut out the "shut up Wesley" part I had in there. Somewhere around here there is Star Trek:TOS version as well.

I used this on my answering machine for about a month. It confused the hell out of people and even my friends would just hang up. I think it was because of the message.

Link to a transcript as well.
