Best Quote ever about GTA
I love the game Grand Theft Auto 3 (all versions). It's better than therapy. Pure escapism.
It is, however, not just an adult game but a game for adults with a very clear and balanced concept of what consititutes acceptable behavior in society, and a clear understanding of where the video game world ends and the real world starts.
That being said, I found the best quote ever to describe GTA:
That's the good part. The bad part is this was in the context of recommendation for game that is worse than GTA with respect to that above.

When I was hanging out with Allan while he played this over Christmas, I became absolutely fascinated with the car radios that were going in most of the cars he stole--specifically the extremely funny and incisive commercials in between the music. Seriously fun and clever cultural interpretation and criticism in them...American studies paper, anyone?
And, BTW, when I first read that blog entry headline re: GTAs, I assumed it would be about Graduate Teaching Assistants. But I suppose Grand Theft Auto is a more widely known use of that acronym.
