Don't know if you noticed that Calvin College, the site of this lovely photo op, is in Grand Rapids. I was, quite frankly, nearly delirious with happy amazement that 100 members of the faculty(1/3 of the total) were willing to sign on to an open letter to the pres. indicating that as Christians they are wildly troubled by his actions as president. This is not the Calvin I know, and I would hope this might provoke a bit of critical thinking among the students. Ah, ever naively optimistic I am. Nothing says inept policy like ignoring the separation of church and state and then having christians tell you that you are doing it wrong.
